Primary objective
This China business mission is designed to introduce
selected Australian horticultural businesses to key China
agriculture/horticulture related government departments, policy
makers, commercial interests and potential business partners. A
primary focus of this visit will be to help develop the China
business structures, partnerships and expertise necessary for
the capture of Sino-Australian citrus business.
Secondary objectives

Develop
sustainable linkages and relationships with major government
agencies and industry groups in key parts of China.

Enhance the
knowledge of mission participants of the current status and
potential opportunities in the Chinese horticulture market.

Improve the
skills of mission participants in how to do and make business
happen in China.
Places
to visit
Xiamen
A major
Special Economic Zone and a key citrus marketing region in
China.
Shanghai
The economic engine of China and the gateway to the central and
western
regions of China and the
Yellow River Delta.
Beijing
Capital city
of China and the centre for government, politics and policy.
Dalian
A major city
in Liaoning province and the gateway to north-east China.
Note: Shanghai, Beijing and Dalian are approved
entry ports for Australian citrus

Who and what to visit
Key agriculture/horticulture related government
authorities, policy makers, horticultural trade and business
groups, wholesale and retail markets, importers, farms and
potential China business partners.
When to visit
Nine days excluding pre- & post-visit briefings in
Sydney. Exact date of departure to be determined.

Indicative Cost/person

Economy airfares:
Sydney-HK-China-HK-Sydney

All HK and in-China meals, transportation, meetings and visits. 4
star hotels.

The cost of this mission is structured to cover the basic travel
expenses of each participant and the 2 tour leaders. No
commissions or fees are added.

Pre- and post-visit briefings and in-China AgrifoodAsia office
support for the visit are at no cost to the participants
