AgrifoodAsia hosted numerous delegations from China's
ministries, provinces and cities over the past 12 months as part
of its efforts to forge sustainable relationships and commercial
linkages between key China and Australia agrifood related
government departments, industry and business groups, academic
and R&D institutions and major companies
AgrifoodAsia also helps to organize study tours and training for
Chinese groups visiting Australia
Delegation from JiangSu province visits the Head Office of AgrifoodAsia in Sydney to discuss co-operation in agrifood R&D, grain import and forestry. AgrioodAsia trains 10 vice mayors in charge of agriculture from GuangXi province on modern agriculture management, technology and development. Deputy Director General of NSW Agriculture briefs a delegation from the National Farmers' Science & Technology Training Center and China Central Broadcasting and TV School of the China's Ministry of Agriculture on agrifood status and opportunities in NSW. Delegation from China's Ministry of Agriculture, Beijing visits Printhie Winery at Molong, NSW to explore opportunities for grape orioduction and wine development in China. Agrifoodasia facilitates the signing of an MOU between Hunan province and the Central Economic Zone [CEZ] to work together to promote trade, investment and co-operation between regional NSW/Australia and Hunan province/China. This agreement was signed by Mr. Ken Graham, Co-Chair of the CEZ and Mr. Wu Zhixiong, Party Secretary of the Changsha City Government as Dr. Yuen looks on. ChangSha city government delegation visits Canberra to have discussion with Food Standards Australia and New Zealand [FSANZ] on Australian and Chinese food standards. The delegation also visited the Australian Federal Parliament House in Canberra. International and Investment Directors from Shenyang New and High Tech Agricultural Development Zone, Lioaning province visits Australia Technology Park in Sydney to explore scientific co-operation. GuangXi delegation visits a cattle stud farm in the Cenral Economic Zone of New South Wales to introduce beef and dairy cattle genetics, breeding techniques and pasture species to southern China. Agsell Director of NSW DPI Mr. Geoff Files briefs the China Ministry of Agriculture delegation on NSW agrifood industries and trade, investment and co-operation opportunities. Mr. Wen, Deputy Director of the Personnel Department of China's Ministry of Agriculture [MOA] meets the CEO of Australia's National Field Days [ANFD] Mr. David Lamrock to discuss co-operation between MOA, ANFD and AgrifoodAsia for agrifood exhibitions in NSW and China. Delegation from China's Ministry of Agriculture's China National Farmers' Science & Technology Training Center [CNFSTTC] and the China Agriculture Broadcasting & TV School [CABTS] led by the President Mr. Zeng Yichun vists AgrifoodAsia and major agrifood training institutions in Australia.
